Here is a short and simple guide to installing Sallos and playing UO using KUOC (Krrios' Ultima Online Client).

I have followed these steps on my Vista PC and can confirm that they work.

Installation

First visit www.sallos.net.

You can either download the quick version, or the full version. If you want to play all the games available on Sallos, get the full version:
Sallos Download

Download and install the .Net Framework version 2.0 (if not already installed).
Click here

Next install DirectX 9.0c Redistributable:
Click here


Now you are ready to go.


Run Sallos. Sallos will most likely need to update itself. Wait for the updates to finish before trying to do anything.

If you an account, simply log in. If you don't have an account, create one. This does not (and probably should not) have to match your game account information. Remember your user name will be what is displayed anytime you log into Sallos and play games (Ultima or any other game on Sallos).

Once logged in, double click Ultima to get to the log in screen. This may require another update.

Click once on the UO Gamers Hybrid to select that shard (currently the only shard available). Click again to access the login menu.

Once you have the login menu open, you can add your game account. Once your account is added you can simply single click to choose which character to start playing.

KUOC has lots features. As of the release of this article, it is still in Beta, so be patient. Krrios is working hard to get it running smooth. Look for more guides involving KUOC here on UOGADDICT.COM soon!
